Four-hole flange connections according to ISO 6162-1 and ISO 6162-2 (SAE J518) are proven, leak-free connections, especially suited for larger connections. An O-ring performs the sealing function at the flange. The holding forces are borne by the bolts and split flange halves. The O-ring sealing effect is achieved by squeezing the O-ring between the 4-hole flange with O-ring groove and the counter flange connection. The force required for squeezing the seal is applied by tightening the four bolts.

The appropriate maximum recommended working pressure is indicated for each item. Please observe the pressure rates before using a part. All pressure indications are based on an operating temperature between -20° C and +100° C (resp. ambient temperature between -40° C and +120° C). Outside of this temperature range the physical properties of the material used is affected and the maximum recommended working pressure is reduced.
The indicated working pressures refer only to the flange itself. For the tubes, fittings and connections used, the pressure directives of the respective manufacturers must also taken into account.
according to DIN EN 10088-3: 2014. We cannot accept guarantee for the use in extreme temperatures. Maximum working pressure highly depends on the individual use and fluid.

Flanges conforming to the standards SAE J518 (ISO 6162) shown in this catalog are sealed with an O-ring according to SAE J515. The seals of our flanges supplied by Schwer Fittings are optionally available in the following materials:
