Traditional stick copper and fittings are costly, cumbersome, and finding a fast, skilled pipe-fitter to run your piping is getting harder and harder. Not only that, improperly designed tubing results in very costly compressor failures and potentially hazardous system leaks. Selling profitable piping work is becoming increasingly difficult.
For these reasons, Reftekk was created.
All existing U.S. market piping solutions are time-consuming and require highly skilled labor.
Why?
There are two major reasons. First, traditional type L copper tubing can not be bent. If it is, it can break down and create micro-fractures, leading to leaks and catastrophic system vulnerabilities. Therefore, U.S. piping systems require an excess of joints and fittings, which leads us to the second reason.
When you purchase a fitting in the U.S., you have to waste valuable time heating the copper, apply brazing rod around the joint, and hope you’ve sealed the connection when it's all is said and done.
Bendable copper piping and tools from Reftekk are the perfect solution to eliminate up to 75% of your brazed joints, reducing your labor and material costs significantly.
You protect your system from additional sources of leakage with less brazes. At least two brazed joints are saved by each fitting you avoid. That's a huge difference across the whole system.
Bendable copper tubing from Reftekk comes in the following sizes: 1/4, "3/8," 1/2, "5/8," 3/4, "7/8," 1-1/8, "1-3/8," 1-5/8 "and 2-1/8". "All options for copper tubing come standard in 19-foot lengths to fit in 20-foot containers, and the ends are sealed to prevent dirt from entering the tubes.
Reftekk uses semi-hard tubing that follows all U.S. standards and is 10% stronger than other manufacturers' stick copper.
Reftekk is so easy to work with that almost anyone can use it, even if they've never touched a copper pipe in their life.
Digi Bender is a special tool (only for use with Reftekk copper) for easy, fast and accurate bending of Reftekk piping right on the job site. The tool is lightweight, user-friendly, and the bend designer software allows you to program all the angles right on your phone. Then you just mark your bend points, pull the trigger and let the machine do the rest.
The Reftekk Digi Bender can be used for field-bending ACR-L copper tubing Soft (O60) and Half-Hard (H55) and transforms hours of experienced labor into a one-man effortless project.
The use of a tubing bender offers many benefits, including fewer brazes, lower risk of leakage and pressure drops, greater flexibility of installation, and no need for costly elbow fittings.
Swagers are widely used devices for soldering, but are not ideal for brazing. The "six-pie" shape available in the market on the head of the swagers creates a depth in the pipes that is too deep for brazing, increasing leakage chances.
That's because brazing isn't a filler, it's just a weld. You need a snug fit with no holes while you braze.
That's why Reftekk developed the Swage X with a 9-sided head that correctly stretches the ends of the bendable segment of Reftekk copper tubing in seconds. Even better: when the maximum expansion is achieved, the machine knows and stops by itself, freeing you from the stress of determining the correct size.
With Reftekk the high skill level is taken out of brazing. With Reftekk precision brazing rings with built in flux, all you have to do is braze the top of the socket and in seconds you will see the silver cover, which is the indication that your brazing has been finished. No stress, no guessing.
Reftekk saves you up to 75% of the time you'd spend with other manufacturers' brazing products. Less brazing also comes with reduced purging and heat applied to the system, leaving you with an inside pipe much cleaner.
The Reftekk ACR Brazing Rings come in 3/8”, 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4”, 7/8”, 1-1/8”, 1-3/8”, and 1-5/8”.
Insulation for piping should be easy, right? I mean, what can go wrong?
Well, there's a lot. Energy codes are becoming more and more stringent, leading to lawsuits and penalties for improper insulation.
When it comes to EDPM insulation for VRF/VRV Reftekk has the best solution.
Standard and split insulation options from Reftekk are safe and are available to avoid unnecessary headaches.
The Reftekk Cush-A-Therm is a rigid insulating support for the pipe that resists compression or crushing from the loads of the active piping system.
Reftekk offers refrigerant ball valves in sizes from 1/4 "to 2-1/8" with an optional EPDM insulation jacket.
These ball valves accept the same brazing rings as the tubing of the pipe.
The brass body of the refrigerant ball valve is fitted with a schrader valve for easy access.
The valve has 700 psig peak operating pressure and a working temperature range from -40F to 300F (-40C to 150C).
