Pipe dream couplings for repairs

Has anyone tried these out yet? I watched the little video and it looks interesting.

You know Army I'm not a fan of repairs that involve sliding a coupling on and then sliding it back since to me this compromises the solvent weld. Also this assumes the pipes didn't break due to shifting which would require 4 elbowing to relieve the stress. Also when you pull that pipe up to slide the coupling on make darn sure you are not near a tee. I prefer to do my repairs without having to manipulate the pipes in the ditch. I've heard that awful crack sound when pulling a pipe up to try and do a repair often enough that figuring out how to do the repair and not jiggle the pipes is my MO.

Had more class pipe break using the pry and slide technique than SCH40, especially at and near any fittings.

That is because class pipe is 80% of the pipe out there. That's like saying I've seen more Chevy's in wrecks therefore avoid owning a Chevy.

Not a good morning to argue with me. I just finished getting caught up at reason.com. They have a funny video on Govt. being in the car business. Now you should understand my antipathy towards govt. HC.

I'm with Fimco on this one, I don't like that it slides the glue joint, with glue on it, onto the pipe, then you have to slide it back to meet the other pipe. Most of your glue will end up in the wrong place. I prefer a good old slip fix. I've never even had to use the 4 elbows method, but then again I don't do irrigation every day of the week. I also have never seen SCH40 for lateral lines around here, once in a while someone may have used it for the mainline that's always under pressure.

Politics is a reality in life. Too many people want to bury their heads in the sand be economic idiots and declare a pox on the whole mess. This is exactly what the govt. wants you to do. We are heading down the road to tyranny. We are led by people who want to devalue our Constitution to be liked by Europeans, marxists, anarchists, muslim fanatics, dictators, third world failures, one world trans nationalists, and worst of all PC University professors. Where is the European Constitution? We are trading a free market system, Rule of Law, and Our God Given Inalienable Rights to get along with European socialism and Muslim fanatics among others. Some call this "EVOLVING" I call this being a traitor to the greatness of our Founding Fathers.

Yes I'm passionate about this and hope to spur others to see it the way I do.
