Seamless elbow is manufactured by the seamless steel pipe,through hot push,punching or extruding processes,no seam on the elbow body.The common used manufacturing technology of seamless elbow includes hot push,punching and extruding.

Hot push:

The pipe diameter is determined according to the rule that the volume of metal material remains unchanged before and after plastic deformation.The pipe diameter is smaller than the diameter of elbow.The deformation process of blank is controlled by the core module,so that the compressed metal flow in the inner arc can be compensated to other parts which are thinned due to the enlargement of diameter,thus obtaining the elbow with uniform wall thickness.Hot pushed elbow forming process has the characteristics of beautiful appearance,uniform wall thickness and continuous operation,and is suitable for mass production.

Punching:

Punching forming is widely used when elbow pipe fittings have special requirements.The elbow is stamped by tube blanks with the same outer diameter as elbow,then directly pressed in the die of punching machine.Because it is suitable for single-piece production and has advantage of low cost,the punching elbow process is mostly used for the manufacture of small batch and thick-walled elbows.

Extruding:

Extruding forming technology,which is the forming process of extruding the tube blank into the external die and then going through the ball shaping inside the tube blank.Because this process is relatively complex and difficult to operate,the quality of forming is not as good as the first two kinds,so it is seldom used.
