A RTJ Flange Joint is a connection of pipes, where the connecting pieces have flanges by which the parts are bolted together, usually has a raised face with the groove machined into the face of the flange.ASME B16.5 RTJ flanges dimensions are covered in ASME B16.5 – which covers Pipe Flanges and Flanged Fittings size NPS ½” to 24” for above NPS 26” to 60 , it should be as per ASME B16.47.This type RTJ Flanges are mostly used for high pressure applications up to pressures as high as 15,000 psi (103 MPa). Ring Type joint flanges usually come in blind, slip-on, threaded and weld neck. But there is one disadvantages of using Ring Type Joint Flanges is that ring type joint grooves can accumulate moisture or dirt when the flange is open. Since the seal is a metal on metal connection, a small amount of damage on the narrow sealing surface may lead to a leak.
Our offered Class 900 Ring Type Joint Flange has excellent resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking, and as well shows appropriate resistance to a number of oxidizing environments.ANSI B16.5 Ring Type Joint Flange is resistant to oxidation (corrosion resistant), chemical corrosion and has some high stress-rupture effectiveness and low creep rates under high stresses at temperatures after suitable heat treatment.

RTJ Flange have grooves cut into their faces which steel ring gaskets.
