Introduction: Embossed Foil Wall Art
Making of Embossed foil wall art is very simple and inexpensive too. All you need is hot glue gun and sticks, aluminium foil sheet and shoe polish. In this instructable, I shared how to make a beautiful Embossed foil art in 30 minutes.
Step 1: Materials Required
Hot glue gun
Glue sticks
Heavy Aluminium foil sheet
Liquid shoe polish
Paper
Q-tips
Photo frame (glass removed)
Tissues
Pen or Pencil
Step 2: Choose Your Pattern
Take a sheet, which should fits well in the frame. Now draw some pattern in sheet as your wish. Since its my first attempt, I drew simple flower pattern.
You can also take print out of pattern from google images. Search " drawing sheet " pattern in google images. you will find many beautiful drawings.
Step 3: Trace It!
Now trace the pattern with hot glue gun. Once you traced all curves and lines, let it completely dry for sometime ( It takes 2 minutes to dry ).
Step 4: Emboss It!
Keep the glued pattern over back of the frame. Now wrap the foil over the front and to the back.
Now press down the foil with your fingers and then use q-tips to rub the foil down around the glue lines without breaking the sheet.
Once finished with the q-tips, rub generous amount of shoe polish all over the entire piece.
Let it sit for few minutes and take soft tissue, wipe it gently. Do not wipe it too much. If you do, rub some more shoe polish and wipe again.
Step 5: Frame It!
Once polish is dry, put your frame on your foil art.
Tada! It's done!!

Very nice design! I'll be making one very soon, though I think I'll try Rub and Buff rather than shoe polish to see what effect it may give as they are of similar consistencies.
