Stainless Steel 304 Flanges are made up of an austenitic stainless steel that has 18% chromium and 8% nickel in the composition. This composition makes the flanges strong and corrosion resistant for general corrosive services. Navstar Steel is a leading supplier and manufacturer of the SS 304 Flanges in various sizes and shapes. The material is strong with 515MPa minimum tensile strength and 205MPa minimum yield strength. The material is also corrosion resistant to most atmospheric conditions.
There are different types such as the A182 F304 SORF Flange which is a slip on raised face flange. The slip on flanges are suitable to be used with seamless pipes to make precise connection locations. The raised face of the flanges provides extra surface for connection either by welding or b bolting. The SS 304 WNRF Flange is a weld neck raised face flange. The raised face helps the attachment while the welded neck provides extra grip to hold the pipes in place. The flanges vary in sizes ranging from ½ inches to 48 inches in diameter.
The ASME SA182 SS 304 Blind Flanges are used to terminate a pipeline by ending the pipe at one place. There are different types of blind flanges as well. The 304 material is also heat resistant and can operate up to 870 degrees Celsius. This allows the SS UNS S30400 Pipe Flanges to be used in some high temperature services such as heat exchangers, boilers and condenser components.
